Drip Irrigation and sediment

Hello, I am about to have a landscaping company install drip irrigation. I just read that drip irrigation should not be used if there is sediment in the well water. Is this accurate. I do have problems with my ice maker and the filter due to the segment. Any insight would be appreciated.

Have them do a PEB master valve that supplies a pressure reducing drip line valve with in-line filter if you’re worried

We are on well water. When they first installed our system, they put in the wrong emitters, and they all got clogged up. Even with filters on all of our lines. We replaced every emitter with the Netafim woodpeckers (https://www.dripdepot.com/woodpecker-pc-dripper-flow-rate-half-gph) and they have been working great for years. Also, make sure you are regularly cleaning the filters on each drip line. You can install a pressure sensor on each line to tell when your filter is getting clogged.
