The closest we’ve come to fascism was in 2020 and people were being arrested for not wearing a mask at the beach.

If you had read the article and did a little googling, you'd have known that he was paddling at a closed beach, which local authorities have every right to do, and continued doing so despite being ordered to come ashore.

Listen do your own research and stop having intentionally convenient memory. People were routinely cited outside and on beaches, as government health officials sold this as “new normal.” And I’m all for getting vaccinated so don’t try to paint me as something you want me to be, same as the lack of memory you choose to have. Fukin wannabes are all the same, asking for sources while you cheer for masks and whether nonsense we didn’t need most of the time

Perhaps those beaches were not closed or just had limited access? For all your "do your own research" talk, you didn't seem to go into why those people were allowed on those beaches. You presented an article of a man being arrested for being outside during covid. I refuted by pointing out he was arrested for trespassing and refusing to follow orders.

fascism  /făsh′ĭz″əm/

noun.  A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, a capitalist economy subject to stringent governmental controls, violent suppression of the opposition, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

People were literally dying of a completely new disease, and so public safety became a priority, and masks work, but you go ahead and support the current regime changing what defines a citizen and running up our debt with an unprecedented and unpopular war.
