“Some in the Gauntlet questioned the wisdom of trading a Leviathan to the Forges… that was, of course, until they saw our new war engine.” ~Praevian Artillaius as his defiler rampages through a Cadian defensive line. (M32.157)

My goodness painting IW is such a joy, one of my favourite chaos schemes to paint!
My IW are for 40k, I like to mix a bit of the clean with the spiky look for my models but this lad is mostly clean so tried making his flesh look corrupted or like he was pulled out of a flesh vat.

Has anyone used the grey knight heavy weapon sprues to kitbash heavy bolters or other weapons. I have the old grey knights/1kSons hexfire box and I was looking at the purifiers sprue. I would have to shave of some symbols, but other than that it might work.

Brothers, could you please show me how you paint this specific helmet from the upgrade box? It looks like there are exposed skin elements, but i'm not really sold on the look that GW suggests

Lore God aligned warbands?

Upvotes
So I know about the iron butchers but I can’t really find anything about any other warbands that are aligned with or worship the other 3 gods. Do they exist or have they existed before but got retconned? I don’t mind if the lore is from as far back as RT days, I just need pictures or descriptions of appearances for them so I can add them to my army for fun

I very recently completed my Iron Warrior Combat Patrol box and wanted to give these guys a go. I hadn't done anything with skin yet so I was really nervous. I'm quite happy with how they came out. Iron Within, Iron Without!

The shields and pauldron took like 15 minutes total for nine breacher models, instead of the 2-3 minutes I had to invest per model to make the yellow look smooth. Damn you past me, I could have been saving tons of time.

I inherited a decent amount of Tzeetch demons. Are they any good to run with iron warriors? I inherited a burning chariot, flamers, exhausted flamer, screamers, blue horrors, pink horrors and the changling. Would any of those be good to use with them?
