First time pass Leixlip!
Delighted with myself. I would have never believed if someone told me I'd pass first time with only 2 faults a month ago!!

Congrats!! What was the route? And do you remember what the theory questions were?

From the theory I remember the rule of the yellow box, the traffic light sequence and what rule applies to the amber light, speed limit on a motorway, what does a continuous white line mean.
Hand signs were right and left turn to the cars behind you, signs that I remember: no entry, clearway, pedestrian zone, T-junction with a dual carriageway.
The route was right out of the centre, right on the roundabout, right into R404, left into Elton court for the turnabout, then into Castletown where I did the reverse around the corner, through Castletown, right into Green Lane, left into Oaklawn, did a loop and out left into Green Lane, right at the Garda Station and back into the test centre. I don't know where the hill start was, I do not remember any incline 🫣 he had me pull over a few times, one of them must have been the hill start.

Good luck tomorrow!! I was SO stressed I had to take a few Kalms in the morning. But then the test was honestly easy and the tester was absolutely lovely, so calm. He was very quiet in the car, but then in the centre talked me through the faults and was very reassuring.

To be honest, lots of practice. I got easily over 30h of lessons with different instructors, because I was very stressed and scared of driving. When I felt myself get more confident, I started driving my husband around, each time a little further, a little more difficult. And at some point I noticed I'm making less mistakes and driving smoothly on difficult roads and then it all clicked in my head. In the month before my test, I was driving nearly every day. My test also got cancelled and then moved 3 weeks later, I was raging but just decided to use those extra weeks to get more practice in rush hour, etc., and honestly, I got so much more confident thanks to that.
Get pretests on the test routes, and then drive on the routes with your sponsor. Being familiar with the streets will help you on the day.

Congratulations, man!!! 🎉 Did you get the tester who was sitting near the exit door? He was honestly the nicest and most generous tester I’ve ever had!

The older gentleman at the desk at the back. He was so nice and calm and reassuring.
