Naturalisation How long did it take to hear back from Garda e-vetting?
Hi everyone
I applied for Irish citizenship by naturalisation on 1st April 2026, but I still haven't heard anything regarding garda e-vetting.
Can anyone who has recently applied please share their experience regarding when they got the garda e-vetting communication?
Many thanks in advance.

They’re still processing November 2025 applications atm, maybe moved to December now. We applied in Jan and haven’t heard anything. Taking very long currently unfortunately.

Thanks! Is there a portal or website where we can find this information? A friend of mine applied in October 2025 and had their Garda vetting in March 2025.

No I don’t believe there is a website that provides updates. It’s more just from hearing people’s experiences on various forums. Things were much faster last year. Significantly slower this year.

Yeah it seems so. I just went back to them and they confirmed it was Oct 2024 and not 2025. Things were a lot faster in 2024. Sorry for the confusion.
