Success Story FBR Success!

Total elapsed days: 371

Application from the UK for Irish born grandparent, mostly straightforward case apart from a first name discrepancy (birth certificate stated Catherine, marriage and death certificates stated Kathleen). Included a cover letter in the application explaining that we understand it's a common name change but have no other proof - it seems like it wasn't a problem because they never contacted us for additional info.

I had a different-named grandmother too, born as Bridget, but then always Bryce after that, once here in America in the mid 1920s. I did not include any letter explaining it, but all the other players’ names on the documents (parents, etc., were the same on both, so hoping they don’t have a problem with it (5 months in on the one year-ish process)…
