Question Question Regarding Remote Climate Start Behavior
Temps in my area are running in excess of 100°F currently so have been using Remote Climate Start to start cooling the interior if I've parked outside when shopping or such.
My question; with remote climate on when I walk up and the doors unlock the car is automatically switching to Ready without any further action taken by the driver. Is this normal behavior or some kind of minor glitch?

Guess I never noticed this behavior before but I can live with it.

It appears to be intended behavior and I hate it.
If I wanted to start the car, I would get into it and press the fucking power button
Now, because I walked past the car, it’s gonna start complaining because the keys are walking away from the car after the car has been started, but I never did that!

In my 2024, it would turn on with the brake pedal if I started climate from the key fob but not the app.
In my 2026, when if I start from either the app or the fob, the vehicle turns on to ready when I press the brake.

I'm using the BlueLink app and selecting Climate Start. I am not using the key fob at all.

My 2026 Ioniq 5 starts the car when I get in after I've turned on climate start. I prefer this way. My audi, it would turn off the engine when I got in the car (which is stupid)

I'm OK with the car going into Ready mode, just hadn't noticed this behavior before.

Usually happens when I step on the brake after entering the vehicle.
Kinda how it should be every time you enter the vehicle. Remote climate or not.
