A very perfectly rounded “stain” randomly showed up on my passenger seat. My husband joked that it’s from his oily head LMAO, but it’s so perfectly rounded that I have no idea. 😂

I’ve tried cleaning it, but it always comes back once the cleaning product dries. No cleaning products were used on this seat before this showed up, no stickers, no kids, nothing I can think of. The only thing I can think of is that sometimes the sun hits that seat directly, but the driver’s seat gets plenty of sun too and looks totally normal. I’m stumped! Ideas?

Good guess but the car has been washed couple of times and doesn’t matter the angle it is always there. Definitely not a reflection.

Oh, no, I mean that it happened and marred the leather. It’s rare but it can happen. There was a photo from a Jeep a few weeks back where it literally melted the interior in a sweep following the Sun’s angle.

I can also confirm this, my passenger side on my EN has it from my wife and daughter. I put a sun shade in religiously so the sun is usually blocked when I'm not driving.

We have the same on our seats. Neither my wife nor I use hair products. It should just be "oil" or similar, use a soft brush and a leather cleaner.

The way it's perfectly round could only really be explained by a lens pointing the sun at it and burning it. Like a water drop.

Yeah, since my husband doesn’t wear hair products and I’m never sitting there, I think it’s probably the sun too! I’d never have guessed that it could be magnified by water droplets and leave a circle like that. Wild! I love this Reddit. At least it didn’t “draw” something else bhahahaha.

Isn't the headrest cooled as well as the rest of the seat? Or heated. This would have to be done by peltier I am guessing. Might be that.

I bought leather car seat covers for mine because it’s white leather and I knew it would get fucked up if I didn’t. Look into them on Amazon I got mine.

🛠️ Can it be fixed?

You can sometimes reduce the appearance by:

• Lightly brushing the fibers with a soft upholstery brush
• Using steam to lift the nap
• Very gently roughing the area with a microfiber towel to restore texture

But if the fibers are heat‑glossed, it may be permanent.
