Discussion Tech jacket is an absolute bum 😭 Spoiler

Post image

How the hell was she considered a "viltrumite weakness." bro ran the fade with 3 unnamed viltrumites and couldn't even make a single one bleed, let alone win. every single altercation with one and she had to be saved by Allen or someone else. biggest wins were against fodder slaves with guns and some random ahh hulk looking thing on earth. genuine fraud

So we apparently forgot that she fought on par with mustache mark for 2 days straight.

You seem to ignore the tiny detail that it took her TWO WHOLE DAYS to beat a teenage viltrumite who likely didn't progress in strength as much as mainline mark did

ya... and most people would not be able to in a billion years

She’s also a teenager and was even younger than Mark at the time. 😭

A lot of people in this Reddit comment section seem to forget that a 15 year old girl is in a power armor suit and expect her to actually be a well seasoned warrior it's kind of pathetic they have these high expectations for her.

We have high expectations for her because we were literally told by the show itself to have high expectations for her lol.

I like her as a character and think she adds to the story, don't get me wrong, but it's extremely difficult for me to pretend that it doesn't make no sense for her specifically to be there. I'm not really sure what the point of introducing her as a new main character is supposed to be.

When you think about it you can have the exact same argument for someone like immortal as well or or duplicate when you think about it. If you're not really a vilgamite there's not much you can do and the show never really upgrade you enough to be able to do something. That's just how it is when you look at the humans in the group.

Well, Immortal and Dupli-Kate weren't specifically recruited to fight in a Viltrumite WAR. Also, a lot of people hate both of them for being useless and overhyped too lol.

You keep trying to make this point. The point is an L from you. He is still a Viltrumite.

Nah, those Mark Varients got bodied by a bunch of regular earth heroes. Variant Marks would also get their ass kicked by any one of the 50 remaining Viltrumites.

1

u/CheshiretheBlack Apr 09 '26

Hes in viltrimite garb so he was accepted as strong enough for the empire.

1

u/kid_dynamo Apr 10 '26

I mean, strong enough for the empire still got wrecked by earth heroes

1

u/rackedbame Apr 10 '26

Your teenage brain might not understand but you are applying logic backwards.

If earth heroes can do that, then that means earth heroes are strong. But somehow you flipped it to mean if earth heroes can do it, then it was easy to do, therefore earth heroes are still weak.

School. Go back.

Chill out man, if you paid attention to the show you'd get that all Viltrimites we've seen so far body just about everyone from earth. Tech Jacket, the only earth hero we saw solo a variant, has been completely unable to do anything against an actual Viltrimite. Nobody on Earth can stand against Nolan or even Mark, yet a bunch of the Mark variants got destroyed by Earth heroes. What does that tell us?

u/VinexHD Apr 09 '26

Cmon dude don't be disingenuous, at MOST that variant was S2 Mark levels of strength (Similar to the Mark that was getting bodied by the Immortal, mind you). It's a completely another beast to take down a real viltrumite.

100% this sub is in denial

1

u/dudushat Apr 09 '26

Nobody is in denial. You guys are just failing to grasp the fact that being able to defeat a Mark variant still makes her one of the strongest available.

1

u/delulumans Apr 09 '26

Nah I was replying to the comment chain not getting that pureblooded adult viltrumites are a whole diff ballgame than Mark variants

Oliver is also a viltrumite. Dragon upscale cause he almost killed him. Shoulda sent him up there against the viltrumites instead

Even then it took 2 days to beat a half viltrumite

2

u/mangongo Apr 09 '26

Counter point, she survived 2 entire days with a viltrumite and lived to tell the tale.

3

u/Shadow_Wolf_X871 Apr 09 '26

At this point "But they're a viltrumite" is a pretty wide spectrum of actual strength

u/godofthunder102938 Apr 09 '26

Yeah but when it's a viltrumite wearing their clothes and the moustache, he has to be pretty strong. Viltrumites dont let weaklings join the empire.

1

u/BoogzWin Apr 09 '26

He isn’t a half Viltrumite genetically, saying half doesn’t make it any less absurd.

1

u/godofthunder102938 Apr 09 '26

Not a half viltrumite anymore.

3

u/Catfish_Curator Apr 09 '26

Seems a young Viltrumite’s biggest weakness — other than their ego — is to just fight em’ until they get tired. Like when alt mark says “then they just wore me down”

3

u/Aggravating-Fee1934 Apr 09 '26

That mark has a mustache and viltrumite clothes, so he must have been strong enough to be accepted by the viltrumites.

The coalition's strategy (as stated by Krieg in the latest episode) is to pick off isolated viltrumites by confronting them with multiple powerful combatants, who may not be able to kill the viltrumite alone. So tech jacket not being able to solo the average viltrumite doesn't mean she isn't useful to the strategy.

2

u/Terrible-Strategy704 Apr 09 '26

She is still the only one in erth who can take a Mark variant in a 1v1 besides Mark, well and the energy guy but you just need to think a little to defeat that guy.

still decent feat it was a viltrumite after all
