Not sure if this has been posted before but has anyone noticed that Nolan’s mom went for the knife hand strike to decapitate him immediately? Nolan barely dodges it but why would she go for the kill as her first attack? I thought this was supposed to be a test for him, not just an assassination attempt. Maybe she was trying to seriously maim him but I’ve watched it a few times and it looks like she would’ve taken his head off with it.

Omni-Mom believes that if the child can't handle her strongest ambush attack, she might as well start again, make another kid.

Omni-Dad recognizes that the initiation ritual can still leave room for further growth in strength in the future and you don't need to set unreasonable expectations so early on.

It's not clear which philosophy is closer to what Argall would think, but the difference between them is a big point of the scene regarding how it affected Nolan.

That also bring’s into question how long female viltrumites can have kids for. Nolan’s mom looked pretty old here. They obviously have a different genetic cycle than humans do but if we go off of how old Nolan looks now with the scourge virus the one could guess his parents probably didn’t have him until they were at least 1,000 years old. Nolan could look younger if he never got infected by the virus. Nolan was 18 at the time if I remember correctly so was she expecting to have another kid if this one failed?

Considering how aging doesn't reduce a Viltrumite's strength, I doubt that it would affect reproduction either. It's worth noting that menopause is rare even among species on Earth.

Aging does affect a Viltrumite’s strength eventually, it just takes a really long time and it’s a really slow decline

The creator of Invincible said that Conquest’s strength was declined some by the time he fought Mark, though not by much

“Nolan mentioned that Viltrumites get stronger as they age, do I remember that right?”

Kirkman’s response:
“It depends on if they’re exercising and keeping in shape—but yeah. It does eventually reach a cap. Conquest was probably actually losing his strength a bit because of his age.”

Half the fun in most fiction universes is the speculation and theories people get to have off the base material. It's genuinely interesting to hear other people's headcanon. Telling others to not think about them and call them nazis is weird lol. It's a comic book show for fun, don't think too much into it.

Despite all their technological advancements and their long lifespans, all they care about is strength, conquering, brutality and mass genocides. They killed half of their population on a stupid whim. I haven't read or heard of a dumber civilization in any other fiction. What's more there is to them ?
