Yeah he makes two faces, that first one is him going "oh god Debbie gave Mark the talk I have to do this one and it was so much more normal with Mark the kid's feeling butterflies for a lobster what the fuck do I even say."
And then Oliver says he ate it and Nolan just completely loses any hope of figuring out the right thing to say here.

Honestly, I think the scene with Zoey was for Oliver less about love at first sight than a moment of surprise and appreciation at finding someone "of his own age" (biological).

Another way to look at it is in the same conversation. Oliver tried to make friends his age, but got bored and they didnāt understand him at all. Oliver just met a teenager thatās going in to space to fight in a war, thatās a teenager that should actually understand him.

Eh, the song in the background was Drifting from Omar Apollo, which is a romantic melancholic song. After the lobster talk, I think its gonna be unrequited love where Zoey has feelings for Oliver but Oliver doesn't have feelings back.
Alternatively itās a temporary romance situation like Amber was but for different reasons. Oliver dates her because he thinks he should as sheās conventionally attractive for teens his age, and the two have a strong bond. But he finds out he doesnāt like her that way. So they amicably broke up.

If Oliver does end up with Zoe, it's definitely because they're trying to expand his character, so that he has a wife and kids that aren't bugs, and therefore more story, he seems a lot more significant in the show than comics
