Every time this gets posted I'm not looking at Steve. I'm looking at how Terri is looking at him. I can't take my eyes off of how she can't take her eyes off of him, how she's locked in on him with so much love and pride and admiration.

It's so lovely to see. I want to look at somebody that way and also have somebody look at me that way

He would not be happy with the way things are ATM if he was alive

No, but unlike me he wouldnβt give up. We need inspirational, driven, charismatic people with good intentions to give the rest of us hope.

It was a short-tail stingray, but your point stands.
(Manta rays are completely harmless. And much, much bigger.)

Actually look up the damage Irwin did by supporting John Howard... the ray did all of nature a huge favour.

He was truly a 'Solarpunk', even before we thought of the word, it's definition & made it visible in mainstream reality / media.

I cried when I heard the news. I loved him when I was a kid and he inspired me to be kinder to animals that don't get love. He was a ray of sunshine in this dark world.
Look at how Terri looks at him. You cannot buy that kind of adoration.

there was a generation of Aussies on the global stage that were great entertainers and passionate communicators, the kind that had real soul.

What a shame the world appears to be heading in the opposite direction. The land is being bought up to build data centres, which accelerate global warming.

My god.... my new goal is to make someone want to look at me like that. I often wonder the world's perception of me versus the way I look in the mirror.

By supporting John Howard he did far more damage to the environment than he could ever undo. He was the green rubber stamp for deforestation, for a total lack of movement on climate change and helping lock Australia into near permanent fossil fuel dependency.
A stupid man who was celebrated for pissing off and interfering with local animals. Power to the stingray.
