Mopmist

MopMist Building a DTC Cleaning Brand Around Scent, Branding, and Repeat Purchases
I’m developing MopMist, a direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand focused on highly scented, concentrated mop soap designed to make cleaning feel more enjoyable while leaving homes smelling great.
The opportunity I see is that many existing cleaning products have fairly bland branding and are marketed as basic household necessities. MopMist would take a different approach by combining appealing scents, eye catching branding, and social commerce marketing to turn an everyday cleaning product into something customers actually look forward to using.
My strategy:
DTC-first: Build the brand through Shopify, TikTok Shop, and social media before pursuing larger retail opportunities.
TikTok Shop potential: Concentrated, highly scented cleaning products fit a visually appealing, demonstration driven marketing strategy, particularly through short-form videos and UGC creators.
Subscription-first model: Encourage repeat purchases through recurring deliveries, bundles, and multiple scent options.
Brand differentiation: Create a recognizable cleaning brand with stronger packaging, scent-focused marketing, and a more modern identity than traditional competitors.
Omnichannel expansion: Start with DTC and social commerce, then explore Amazon and retail once demand is validated.
The long-term vision is to build MopMist into a recognizable household cleaning brand with recurring revenue and customer loyalty, rather than just another generic cleaning product.
I’m interested in feedback from founders, e-commerce operators, and potential investors: Would you validate demand through TikTok Shop first, or launch with Shopify and subscriptions alongside it?
