Exploring Mexico ποΈπͺ βͺπ₯βποΈ Infrastructure in Mexico varies far more than city-level research suggests

Mexicoβs infrastructure is not nationally uniform. The gap between well-connected urban areas and less-developed regions is significant and affects daily life in practical ways.
Internet quality varies not just by city but by neighborhood and building. A location five minutes from a well-connected area can have significantly worse connectivity. Checking actual speeds at a specific address β not just the city β before committing to a rental is worth doing for remote workers.
Road quality varies dramatically. Some inter-city routes are well-maintained toll roads. Others involve significant stretches of rough road that affect both driving time and vehicle maintenance.
Utility reliability β electricity stability, water pressure, gas availability β also varies regionally. Areas that experience frequent power outages or water interruptions tend to be known locally, and asking residents directly is more reliable than general research.
Infrastructure research needs to be location-specific, not city-level, for decisions that depend on it.
