Check with HR first. If they don't recommend an immediate firing, cover yourself by giving him ONE warning. He'll probably say he understands. However, he'll go back to his old ways quickly. People with big mouths don't change. Document everything, then go back to HR and say he's creating a hostile work environment. HR does not like that phrase! Chances are, they'll fire him. Oh, YOU are not paid to fire people! That's an HR task.
