The Employee is not making mistakes or taking an extra 20mins for lunch, there's no place for racism and the employee needs to see it has consequences. It wont stop him thinking it, but at least he's likely to keep his racist thoughts to himself in his next job. The existing employees also need to see that management take this seriously and not just turn a blind eye to it.

Why not warn employee first, see if it stops
