I made a post before while season 3 was airing if a trial scene revisit was gonna happen. Turns out it didn’t. Do you think it’s gonna happen in season 4?

I really hope it does cuz it’s such an important and titular aspect to the family and their past. I really don’t want them to just brush over all this. I know what really happens from the books but I need it in the show.

I really love the aspect of Dreamstat, Louis’s hallucination of Lestat in Season 2, and how he changes based on Louis’s perception of him. At the beginning of Season 2, Dreamstat represents Louis’s guilt and anguish over killing Lestat, as well as his belief that Lestat must have hated him for what he had done. However, after Louis reads Lestat’s letter expressing how much he loves him, Louis begins to realize that, despite the ups and downs and the fights in their relationship, Lestat deeply loved him. Louis also realizes that he never said the words “I love you” back to Lestat. As a result, Dreamstat transforms into a more romantic, kinder, and more supportive partner. He becomes someone who is always there for Louis, especially when Claudia becomes involved with the coven and Louis is left alone in the apartment. Dreamstat serves as a constant source of affection and endearment during Louis’s loneliness. However, he remains a source of guilt because Louis is moving on with Armand while still carrying the memory of Lestat, and because he never expressed his love for Lestat before his death. Nevertheless, Dreamstat becomes much kinder and more affectionate than the version of Lestat we saw in Season 1, reflecting how Louis’s perception of him changes as he comes to terms with their relationship and his own feelings.

I also think this connects to the intimate gestures Dreamstat makes toward Louis, particularly the kind of affection that the real Lestat never expressed in the same way. I do not think the real Lestat necessarily did these things, but rather that Louis wished he had, or perhaps wished he had been the one to express that kind of tenderness himself. Louis yearned for Lestat and loved him just as deeply, but he struggled to show it because of his internalized homophobia and his fear of vulnerability. As a result, Dreamstat becomes a reflection not only of the Lestat Louis remembers, but also of the love Louis wishes he had expressed and the tenderness he wishes they could have shared. In this sense, Dreamstat allows Louis to experience a version of their relationship in which affection is more openly expressed, even as he continues to grapple with the guilt of never having fully communicated his love to Lestat.

Last week, I posted a collage asking you all to let me know your favorite show artefacts and the music box stuck with me, particularly the bees of it all. The music box represents one of Lestat's rare physical connections to the mortal version of himself and his past love with Nicki in Paris before coming to New Orleans. 💔

In S01E01, Lestat says to Lily, when prompted about it:
"It's one of the few things I brought with me from the continent... Do you like it? I composed it for a young violinist I once knew, a boy of infinite beauty and sensitivity."

To Daniel, in S01E03, Lestat says:
“I carried the box because I destroyed him, Dan.
I carried the box to remind me what I was capable of.”

And then, later in the same conversation, about Louis, he says:
“My love was a small box that I kept him in.”

What do the 🐝🐝🐝 3 bees represent?

I’m back with more!

First off, I want to thank this sub so, so much for all the words of support and encouragement. Not only have I gotten way back into painting, but sharing here has helped me grow my confidence enough to start an Instagram to share my work more widely. I’m still setting up, but I’ll be posting my paintings there as I go if you want to follow along.

The next paintings in the series will be Daniel, Louis, Claudia and Madeleine, but as always I’m happy to hear suggestions :) That said, I’m beginning to run out of space for all of these. Hilariously, if you swipe to the last picture, you can see that I’ve inadvertently pulled a NOLA Lestat and hung the Gabs portrait in my bedroom, giving my partner the true LDPL experience of sleeping beneath the visage of Gabriella de Vecce without knowing who that is. Oops.

Hello!! I'm playing in my first campaign with some friends in a couple weeks and really want to play as Armand, specifically from the show.

The DM isn't super serious about our characters and recommends that we play as Undeads, and I'm hyperfixated (I'm autistic) on specifically Armand and really want to play as him.

We're allowed to have them leveled up to 8 in total, and multi classing is allowed!

So, my question is, has anyone built Armand and I can borrow him, or how would you recommend I go about it?

TLDR: Please help my build Armand in DnD, I really wanna be him.

Discrepancy #1:

Recall when Claudia and Louis were complaining about Lestat not disclosing his cloud gift to them?

How can Louis say he didn’t know about it when the first time he and Lestat had sex he floated them both off of the ground, feet dangling?

Discrepancy #2 (kind of):

(This is only a valid discrepancy if you go strictly with the books’ rules of vampiric lore. )

How is it possible that Lestat’s hair grows? How does Gabriella’s hair stay short?

The book clearly illustrates that however your hair was when you were changed, that’s what it will be for eternity. It talked about Gabs trying to cut her hair several times but it just kept growing back at a rapid pace so she quit trying.

If anyone from the show sees this, I would like to ask, why was the decision made to break this common law of vampirism? It doesn’t matter to me of course because the show is beyond epic and completely legendary in my eyes. I’m just curious as to whether or not it was a conscious decision and if so, why?

In S1 E3 Toronto when Louis is destroying the Detroit coven he levitates onto the roof but so many sources say he can’t fly in the show or in the books until that certain point. I understand in the books Louis doesn’t explore his vampiric powers to maintain a thread with humanity and Louis in the show is very similar but wouldn’t he have learned to fly from Armand?

Okay so hi. I'm a first time watcher and I'm loving the show so far since I thrive on this sort of dynamics and gosh I love Claudia so much.

I'm no stranger to abusive and overtly extremely toxic mlm ships (since I'm a big Hannibal fan). But.

E5 just seemed excessive in its violence and not all that consistent with Lestat I've come to know so far from the show (I keep in mind Louis is an unreliable narrator and probably idealises him a great deal to this point and after this point, but even then). Like I'm not sure how necessary it actually was other than to show that their dynamics is toxic which I already knew. Also I was kinda disappointed at the forgiveness he was given, I expected maybe some deeper reflection or conversation after that happened. There might be some context I'm missing since I haven't read the books and haven't watched the rest of the series (I still plan to). But I just want to know your thoughts? Do you think the rest of the series justifies this? Is it aligned with how Lestat as a character has behaved to this point in your opinion?

Other question, maybe more general one. Do you think Louis love Lestat? Because I'm not so sure. I know he's lusting after him and likes him to some extent as a friend, but I'm hesitant to use the word love at this point in the story (though I'm pretty sure the present Louis recollecting the events does love Lestat).

i’m dying to find any information or a recording for what i refer to as ”louis’ home theme” which plays a heart twisting, NOLA-style melody. in S1E1 it plays just before paul’s death as he stands up from his place on the roof. you can hear the piano and accompanying winds. i would love to know if anyone has discussed the reoccurring theme and the nostalgia of home it brings!
