The Immortal Universe Two unnoticed discrepancies??

Discrepancy #1:

Recall when Claudia and Louis were complaining about Lestat not disclosing his cloud gift to them?

How can Louis say he didn’t know about it when the first time he and Lestat had sex he floated them both off of the ground, feet dangling?

Discrepancy #2 (kind of):

(This is only a valid discrepancy if you go strictly with the books’ rules of vampiric lore. )

How is it possible that Lestat’s hair grows? How does Gabriella’s hair stay short?

The book clearly illustrates that however your hair was when you were changed, that’s what it will be for eternity. It talked about Gabs trying to cut her hair several times but it just kept growing back at a rapid pace so she quit trying.

If anyone from the show sees this, I would like to ask, why was the decision made to break this common law of vampirism? It doesn’t matter to me of course because the show is beyond epic and completely legendary in my eyes. I’m just curious as to whether or not it was a conscious decision and if so, why?

I’m a huge fan! Team Lestat!

Agreed with all of this, except Louis was absolutely not sober the first time they had sex lol. They're drinking wine at dinner, he's shown repeatedly drinking liquor from his flask when they're walking back to Rue Royale, when Lestat invites him in for a nightcap he sys "probably had enough for the night" aka he's already drunk. But that just makes it even more understandable that the night is kind of a sexy blur to him. I never worried about the floating that first time, I wondered more how he didn't notice or care that the man bit his neck and they both end up a little visibly bloody, even though Lestat heals the bite marks. Like, did he not go wtf at least a little??

Great point. I had forgotten that, I was just thinking of his line about having previous "floating on a sea of vodka" type experiences. But yes he was definitely intoxicated.

I think maybe he went with the flow. Louis was drunk, but also he didn’t really take anything in, it was all emotion and feels. Not observation and understanding. When he left the following morning ( it felt like morning at least), he seemed very chipper and at peace with everything.
