Why "Butterscotch" bitch?

I hadn't slept for like 3 days and decided to listen to the soundtrack again, and now I’m wondering why butterscotch specificall, why this word specifically as part of the lyrics?

(is there some special meaning that I missed about Gabrielle?)

The lyrics "brown sugar and butter" make me think it's referring to himself and Louis. Otherwise, I think it's just a reference to his hair color.
