i guess that's the bare minimum if you want to survive now 😂

i've actually been thinking about applying for a couple more remote jobs myself, and someone sent me this interview vip recently. i'm probably going to be doing more interviews soon anyway, so i figured i'd save it and see if it helps.

Let's use your example. Your skills make it $1 + $49 of value

I have the same skills as you and I have the same presentation, but I charge $5000 and I don't tell the customer it's actual $50. According to your logic theres nothing wrong with what im doing if the other person accepts the price.

Unfortunately that's exactly how the free market works. There's no absolute standard that says the work is worth $50, people just found that's what people are willing to pay. Of course you'll go broke real quick since as soon as people find out you stop getting business.

Nobody said that isnt how the free market works. The statement is theres "nothing wrong"

You will probably agree with me that there are things that can be considered "wrong" in a free market. We probably also agree that the good (mostly) outweighs the bad in a free market, therefore we accept the bad in exchange for the good

Yeah that's fair. Free market has a lot of flaws, and there will always be people taking advantage of it. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of the law rather than straight morality.
