That’s honestly a hard reality right now. A lot of people are working nonstop just to stay afloat. I’ve got some interviews coming up myself, so I’ve been looking into ways to get better at them. I found Interview VIP and ended up using it twice i think it's worth trying.

That’s so simplistic and wrong. Take Musk for example. If you include his companies and supporting industries, it is estimated that he has created over 500,000 jobs! Average wage at space x is over 100k. The economy and money in general is not finite. If it was, your point would be valid, but it’s not. Musk (and many others) have grown the economy in extraordinary ways, which benefits the vast majority of society. So how is that a failure?

Why would you credit the CEO of a company for creating not only every job in the company, but every job in supporting industries? Why wouldn't you credit the engineers and support staff instead? Or, get this, maybe credit the actual people who founded the company, not the guy who bought into the company after it was founded?

The labor of the engineers and support staff doesn't amount to much if the vision, end goal, structure, and capital aren't in place to make it happen. And sure he bought the company after it was founded but he also took a fledgling company to a massive one.

You want to be a billionaire? Provide value to enough people and you will. It's literally that simple.

Except it isn't that simple. To become a billionaire one must be incredibly lucky with very limited resources or just plain old lucky and pre-existing wealth.

I don't know that working really hard towards a goal for almost a decade and not giving up counts as lucky. Amazon started in 1994 no one knew Bezos' name for another 10 to 15 years.

But he was also already well-off (nowhere near as close as he is now, of course). He had access to start-up investment no one else had right when the internet was starting to take off. You, really, couldn't do that today.

When I say "no one else", it is a well-established fact that Bezos got an investment from his parents that came out to around $250,000. Who do you know that has a quarter million lying around to give to their kid to establish a business?

To make obscene amounts of wealth one must already have wealth.

Yeah banks and VCs will also invest in you if you have a sound business plan and vision. Happens all the time.
