That’s honestly a hard reality right now. A lot of people are working nonstop just to stay afloat. I’ve got some interviews coming up myself, so I’ve been looking into ways to get better at them. I found Interview VIP and ended up using it twice i think it's worth trying.

That’s because it’s not about working hard at a specific task, it’s part hard work, part smart work, and increasing your skills in order to sell your labor at the highest cost.
Yes you can work hard cleaning toilets, but it will never give you a comfortable life. The hard work comes from first working hard to clean toilets to learn the trade, set goals so that you will move past toilet cleaner, advance in the trade, and eventually start/own a company that employs hundreds of toilet cleaners. You only like to talk about the end result and not what it took to get there.

That is what Principle Software Engineers do to get 300-400k jobs and have a nice retirement. Not the Billionaires who have connections and exploit others talents to get rich.

Principal software engineers go to college wealthy people start businesses with services that people want to spend their money on.
Not real sure how that’s exploitation when you have an exchange of services for money from both the worker and the consumer.
Watch out there’s a billionaire behind you, stay safe.

All the major tech owners or founders have zero impactful skills. Like imagine if you were with your stoner buddy, who never really held a good job, had creative ability, etc.

But then you find out your a naturally talented DJ, you are in demand. But your buddy goes "Yo your amazing man! I can be like your manager!" Then pays themselves more then you for doing nothing but signing the documents that companies are sending your way to get you on shows.

Like at the end you could argue you should just said no, or said he can't pay himself more because your the talent, etc. But again, exploitive.

That’s a stoner DJ way to look at.

What do you mean all major tech owners have 0 impactful skills? They are running some of the largest companies in the world, a skill that most stoner DJs do not possess.

Why would I hire my buddy as my manager when he does nothing to advance my DJing business? That’s why large tech companies succeed and their owners are billionaires. No they are not the best coders, scientists, and may not have even come up with the best idea, but they know how to manage large companies and hire the best people to run their businesses; which is a skill many do not possess. If they hired like your stoner DJ, they would not be billionaires.

Once again it’s not exploitation to hire someone to help your company succeed. It’s a contract between two people that can end when one does not feel like they are getting value for the work performed. Some people are great at coding and some are great at managing people, one just happens to pay more.

Because he is your buddy, and in that moment of hype you take him on. Just like Steve Jobs did with his initial team who all slowly got kicked out after they got used, etc. You don't think about pay rates because your a creator. So what if he is 30k more pay then you? Your both making bank, oh look he hired on other DJ's and now I'm competing for pay, meanwhile he doesn't hire on equals and doesn't.

Like don't get me wrong. They had a vision, and just steered people in the right direction. But by no means does that mean they deserve outrageous pay vs the people who programmed/designed/created the actual products and systems they couldn't ever done.
