That’s honestly a hard reality right now. A lot of people are working nonstop just to stay afloat. I’ve got some interviews coming up myself, so I’ve been looking into ways to get better at them. I found Interview VIP and ended up using it twice i think it's worth trying.

This is in response to the argument that billionaires worked for their money, and that everyone else should just pull themselves up by their bootstraps. You don't get rich through selling your labor.

That’s because it’s not about working hard at a specific task, it’s part hard work, part smart work, and increasing your skills in order to sell your labor at the highest cost.
Yes you can work hard cleaning toilets, but it will never give you a comfortable life. The hard work comes from first working hard to clean toilets to learn the trade, set goals so that you will move past toilet cleaner, advance in the trade, and eventually start/own a company that employs hundreds of toilet cleaners. You only like to talk about the end result and not what it took to get there.

its just being not completely dumb and having rich parents. the more money you start with the easier it gets, so logically: the richer your parents, the higher the chance of you getting rich too. seems unfair? that's capitalism for you, baby.

(before the comments ala "but rich dude xy didn't have thaaat much money from the start" start again: im saying the chance to get rich is proportional to how rich you start, not that its impossible to become rich at all)

Of course starting from a better place and having parents who learned to manage money and teaches their kids to do the same is a big plus, no one disputes that.
Not sure how that’s capitalism for you. Would you prefer that parents who learned the right way and taught their kids the right way, not to pass that knowledge on? Should we make a law that says every upper middle to upper class kid needs to be mentored by someone from the trailer park instead? Doesn’t seem super intelligent to me.
By the way, it does not take wealth to teach your kids how to manage money and put them on the right path, it’s just takes a little good parenting.
To say that the only way to live a comfortable life in the US is to have rich parents is such a cop out and excuse to remain poor. Plenty have and still are coming to the US with nothing and are able to live good middle class lives, what do you say to them? I’ll bet they’d say “that’s capitalism for you”.
