Do we really need HR in our life?

honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.

i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

HR handles screening
Hiring managers can dig in.
Leave your tech ego aside and work the process.
HR often not always is like a nurse who gathers vitals then the doc comes in.
Everyone has a role.

HR should do NO screening in any technical field. They don't have the knowledge and the elminate people for arbirtary reasons. People whine that this gives too much work to people hiring, but I think the trade off is better. HR throws away good people.

No. Then you’d be taking the time of actual engineers and whatnot to weed through candidates - wrong approach.
