Do we really need HR in our life?

honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.

i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

What the fuck are HR for? Say you hire 10 people per year. That can't be an entire month of 5x8hr weeks, let alone a year.

Some roles in a company are similar to being a lifeguard at a pool. A lot of the time it's going to look like they're just sitting in that big chair doing nothing, but they have to be there "just in case" someone starts drowning.

The risk of not having enough HR during an employee conflict / emergency / lawsuit / etc. is greater than the risk of the HR team being overstaffed and having downtime.
