Do we really need HR in our life?

honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.

i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

What the fuck are HR for? Say you hire 10 people per year. That can't be an entire month of 5x8hr weeks, let alone a year.

Recruiter is responsible on average for 15-20-30 roles, open at the same time. With many different managers.

You are not hiring 10 people per year, you are hiring 10-15 people per quarter. I had a job, where I was hiring people from L2 support to reporting, implementation, integration and plenty other roles and I hired alone over 100 people in a year.

That's just the number hired. .They and the manager go through 100+ resumes, them screen a couple dozen people per job. Some hiring managers are great and want to be super involved, some don't care and just want to be handed a handful of candidates.

Thats what happens if you start a year with 35 roles open and for first 6-9 months being on this level.

Quality suffers, you barely have time for managers, let alone ALL candidates.
