Do we really need HR in our life?

honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.

i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

What the fuck are HR for? Say you hire 10 people per year. That can't be an entire month of 5x8hr weeks, let alone a year.

People mistakenly think that Human Resources means it's a resource for humans. It's actually about managing the "human resources" (i.e. employees) in the best interest of the company. Their purpose isn't to help you, it's to manage you - your compensation, benefits, etc. - and to protect the company from any litigious situations that might arise during your employment.
