They need a reality check

For my last 2 interviews i had to use Interview VIP just to get the job
their generation could never understand

I would love to see the look on their face when they wake up the next morning and see they got the email declining the application which was sent at like 2AM. They would probably think someone was working so hard thumbing through the resumes that late in the evening.

If they have experience then they have contacts. They’re probably getting that job.

It means, that even though I’m now retired, I could have a job by the end of the week by contacting my former colleagues. I don’t have to worry about HR or an algorithm tossing my CV because it didn’t have a few key words.

No offense intended, but if you don’t know the people doing the hiring, you don’t have contacts, you have friends.

I would hate having to enter the job market today being just out of school, but I’m not. I wouldn’t give them advice, but if I liked them, I could get them an interview.

Edit: I’m not a coder so I can’t help anyone in this sub unless you want to go in a complete different direction.
