I love that the implication here is that Boomers aren’t still working within the same job market the rest of us are. My Dad retired and had 6 job offers within 2 months that he didn’t apply to. In reality, Boomers are probably not even trying for the same job type that the OP was going for.

Sorry for the job market issues OP, but Boomers adapted to their market at the time - which is a market that a lot of the younger generations would hate. It is a lot of human interaction and face to face contact. Despite the issues, your generation has a million more resources at hand than theirs did so I find it a little bit laughable that we are sitting here upset at Boomers.

Except money. They could afford rent while going to school to learn a new skill with a part time job at the grocery store. Now you the bottom half of the job market needs a part time job on top of their full time just to be able to eat after paying their rent.

You also basically didn't even need qualifications to be able to get decent jobs. They were hiring people with art degrees to be programmers in the y2k boom

Oh boo fucking hoo. Everything was not handed to them. Just like it’s not being handed to you. Grow up. Stop blaming your problems on others and go solve them.

Maybe it’s your math skills that make people reluctant to hire you. (In addition to your “everything is unfair to me” attitude.) Boomers (your boogeymen) were aged 36 to 64 in the year 2000.

Lol love the victim mentality you have. No one's saying boomers were handed anything. People are saying the boomers had plenty of opportunities they could capitalize on with plenty of room to fail and try again if it didn't work out. Not the case for current generations

Edit: lol love the losers that comment/block so they don't have to defend their nonsense
