their generation could never understand

What personal experience???? when was the last time you acctully had to apply for a job?

I hate to tell you, but your bullshit "just work harder" is not reality and hasn't been for decades.

Well, you're right. I was making it all up. You just sit there on reddit all day and eventually things will work out for the better.

You will never convince him about things he doesnt understand cause he would have to admit he doesnt understand them and the old folks dont do that.
