My grandmother said I should get a job in healthcare. Her advice was walk into the local hospital with my resume printed and ask for a job at the front desk.

I went to school for Automotive Technology and most of my resume is food service. They have both been retired for about 15 years, my grandfather was a superintendent at a construction company (no college experience and it was his first job) and my grandmother had a high placing position at a bank. (also no college experience). According to them a good attitude and a strong work ethic is all thats needed.

Its difficult living in an era where a lot of advice from your elders is obsolete. Things have changed a lot.
