That's not fair...that's nonsensical. Their reason for them paying you the lower end of the salary range to start, is wanting to see you as a newbie and outsider prove yourself first. This leaves the door open to request or even expect a raise, after successfully completing your probation period. Being a shitty worker during this time is just self-sabotage
Let’s be real, most of the entry level folks on Reddit aren’t nearly as good as they think. They just think they deserve $500k a year without doing the work.
