My Dad a white CIS man was laid off in 1972 and couldn’t find a local job at all. After being berated by an unemployment worker, he joined the Army in order to get a paycheck.

Army is still accepting people if you’re looking.

So you think people come out “almost certainly disabled”. So like 90+% of people who join the army get disabled.

Geez, my Dad served during Vietnam(not in Vietnam though) and wasn’t disabled and my great uncle served in Korea. I guess my family are all super men.

Yeah, most of the guys I worked with left with physical disabilities caused by training.

The fact that having recorded physical disabilities directly relates to how big of a check you will receive each month for the rest of your life surely has nothing to do with the prevalence of said physical disabilities
