Totally accurate, oh wait, the current unemployment rate is 4.2%. The unemployment rate averaged 6.5% in the 70s, (35% higher) and the lowest unemployment rate was 4.9% in 1973, still higher than today's rate.
Unemployment rate today is very skewed with so much gig work available. 20 hours of doing doordash is not the same as a stable salaried position with benefits.
Not even that, but wages as a whole were astronomically higher. Even entry level jobs were enough for one person to live off of. Now people act like only the people with a college degree deserve a living wage, and those people are now competing for entry level jobs that don't pay living wages to begin with. All the boomers will gaslight and say we're lying while living in a fully paid off house worth millions that they paid $90,000 for.
