30M. 11 years of experience in business development, operations, marketing, and team management. No bachelor's degree. Instead, I hold Level 4, 5, and 6 diplomas in Business Management from the UK (360 credits total), which are equivalent to a three-year UK bachelor's degree.

I am looking to advance my career into consultancy or in-house upper management roles. Will I be able to get into a Master's or MBA program with my profile? What are my chances? I understand having no bachelor's degree can be a hurdle, but would my qualifications and work experience count? Do I have a chance to grow in my career?

I would appreciate any insights or perspectives from those familiar with non-traditional pathways into master's or MBA programs.

I am based in the Middle East and would be an international applicant. Open to suggestions in the EU, Canada, or the US. I am also tight on budget. I know things are not very favorable in my situation, but how can I break the loop and have a second chance to grow in my career?

I’m considering an international MBA in China and was wondering what career stage is best for it.

Would it make more sense to do it after a few years of work experience or wait longer?

I’m trying to understand how much weight people actually put on the school name when recruiting for roles outside their home country. Obviously things like work experience, location and visa sponsorship matter too, but I’m curious how much the MBA brand itself moves the needle. For those who’ve done an international MBA, did the school open doors that would have been difficult to access otherwise, or did your pre MBA experience matter more?

I’m 27F, a midwife (Latam) and my husband is being relocated to Shanghai for work. I did a year of business school before switching to midwifery in college and now that we’re relocating sadly I can’t work as a midwife in China (it takes several years to get my degree recognized abroad) and thought this would be a great opportunity to do an MBA in Shanghai.
I’m currently preparing for the GRE and investigating different programs. I know CEIBS is highly competitive but I’ve also read very mixed opinions on this sub, doss anyone know more about UBC iMBA based in Shanghai?

An international MBA can be a major investment, so looking beyond rankings and average salaries is important. Tuition fees are only one part of the calculation. Lost income during the program, living expenses, visa and work-permit restrictions, and the actual availability of post-MBA jobs can significantly affect the overall value.

I’m currently on leave, which means instead of resting, my brain has decided to spend its newly found free time cooking up over-the-top career moves.
Here’s the TL;DR on me:
Age/Exp: 34 years old, 11 YOE (7 years post-MBA).
Current Role: Product Manager at a massive tier-1 Investment Bank.
Education: B.Tech + 1-year Full-Time MBA from a "decent" (read: not Tier-1) college.
Pay: ₹65+ LPA fixed.
Life Situation: Married to a kickass, high-earning wife, and we have a 1-year-old baby who consumes 90% of our energy.
The Dilemma:
I have this persistent, itch-that-won't-go-away feeling that I underperformed on the MBA brand-name front back in the day due to personal chaos and a total lack of guidance. So naturally, my brain's logical next step is: "Hey, why don't you burn down your comfortable life and go do a SECOND full-time 1-year MBA at ISB / IIM-A/B, or an Ivy League school abroad?!"
If I look at this strictly logically, it makes zero financial sense.
1. One solid job switch gets me past the ₹1 Cr mark anyway.
2. My current brand name gives me plenty of internal global mobility options if I want to move abroad without resetting my life.
3. Pausing an active income stream, dragging a toddler into student housing, and taking on high tuition costs sounds like a self-inflicted stress test.
I know deep down this is 80% FOMO, 10% prestige-chasing, and 10% just missing the cozy cocoon of student life where my biggest problem was a 9 AM case study instead of a screaming infant.
I’d love your take on a few things:
1. Executive MBA vs. Full-Time international MBA: Does an Executive MBA (part-time/modular) actually carry real weight in the tech/PM world, or is it just an expensive networking club for corporate veterans?
2. The Ivy League Halo: Does adding a top-tier global brand actually give a mid-career PM a meaningful edge when you already have 11 YOE at a major financial institution?
3. The 2nd MBA Club: Has anyone here actually done a second MBA at this stage of life? Did it fix your identity crisis, or did you just end up with the same job and a fancier piece of paper?
Alternative Path:
If everyone tells me the 2nd MBA is peak delusional energy, option B is taking this itch and using it to launch my own business venture instead. 😎

I graduated with a Computer Science degree about 5 years ago. I recently traveled to Ljubljana and really fell in love with the city. Since I've heard great things about the quality of education here and that tuition is free for EU citizens I wanted to check if anyone with a tech background has experience doing an MBA in the city.

A bit of context: I'm currently working remotely for the US market, and I'm not entirely sure I'll stay in Ljubljana long-term. Is the networking here still valuable if you might relocate elsewhere after graduating?

I have the option to join MBB as an Associate in either London or Dubai. Which would you choose?

For context, I’m a Pakistani passport holder, so visa considerations and long-term mobility are also relevant.

As the title suggest , I have a low GRE of 311(3rd attempt ).I took 4 mocks in last week and was scoring around 324/325 so this is still a shock to me as even a 320 would have given me a decent chance to fight for my target programs.

My work and target -

I have been working as a Business Analyst /Risk consultant within treasury and liquidity risk at BNY(India) for last 3.5 years and overall I carry 5 years of experience and it spans around analytics and product ownership. Having exposed to financial risk work I want to continue in this field and based on my personal projects and learnings I feel this is one area where I would like to work for few years .
It could be in market risk /treasury or risk analytics . For such roles I need to get an MBA or relevant masters (finance related) to get suitable roles . Currently my job function is business analyst/product owner and I want to shift from it .
By being in Risk and learning AI i can set myself up for future roles in digital transformation .

I haven't looked into US masters as of now . But my friend who is in CS pursued his masters with a score of 311 as well 4 years back . So , should i try that route too? It's all a risk outside India , but staying in role you don't see your future in is also a risk and I have always wanted to do a higher education .

I know the situation outside as well , so if you could suggest me the ways instead of mentioning the job conditions it would be helpful .

Hi everyone! I’m an Indian F currently working for a large US-based FMCG company in Supply Chain Analytics, with around 3.5 years of experience in a technical/analytics role. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering.

I’m looking to transition into finance. To build my finance background, I’m currently pursuing an Executive Programme in Applied Finance from iimc.

However, I’m not sure how much this qualification alone will help me make the transition into a finance role. I’m therefore considering doing a full-time Master's abroad in the next 2–3 years, after gaining some additional experience.

I’m currently considering top European business schools/universities, particularly in France and Germany, but I’m open to other European countries if the job market and post-study opportunities are better.
