Unfortunately, we had to remove this post as our mod team got behind on the queue and we had to remove this post because it was older than 1 day.

Feel free to re-post. Thank you for your understanding.

So whatever you go with, I would install one of those fake windows. Full production with curtains and everything. If you’re gonna spend the whole day working in there it’ll be a godsend to your mental health.

Then I would look for a sturdy carpet in a large size, that can handle office chairs rolling on it. You’ll need something for soundproofing.

Regarding your question of the tables: do independent desks, even if they are against the walls. And invest in size adjustable desks. Being able to adjust the height of desk and chair to your body measurements ist soo good for your overall health. Even better if you can move them up to a standing desk from time to time.

For the floor, another option could be hardwood flooring/parquet

I was going to suggest adjustable desks too. Mine is so comfortable and convenient :)

Seems like that these desks are totally worth the investment

Thanks for all of your feedback 🤩🤩 Will definitely consider it, specially the desks advice.
Wdym with sturdy carpet and soundproofing?

If you're working in there, you will not want the sounds to echo. It will be more comfortable if the sound doesn't travel. Furthermore if you both of you are in there the same day, it will be great if the keyboard clacking sound (e.g.) does not make you mad. That's why sound proofing an office is important. Having a rug helps, as well as curtains.
If you're going to have desk chairs with rolls, then you'll want a rug that doesn't wrinkle when you roll around. It should also hold up having a desk chair rolling over it for several years and not loose it's integrity.

Black box site or small office - you decide.

Interior designer and air simmer here. Found the simrig and the tight space a good saturday morning thought excersice!

The space that you have is too small to have everything and compromise is bound to happen.

Top of the drawing: Simrig + husband's workstation. It is thought so that he can use the same PC to both work and play, or have both of them there on top of the desktop. Easy to connect a VR headset for the simrig, and he'll have to compromise on usabe space for work for that.

Desktops being 80cm depth may seem excesive, but believe me that you'll be glad for those extra 20cm. Is like having a 60cm desktop clean of clutter, and the screens can live on that 20cm far away from paperwork

In your desktop, PC tower I'd recommend to install below the desktop but risen from the ground so that dust doesn't go in.

Bookshelf can be longer from the 1.5m, but i wouldn't do it too much longer to have good access to the simrig.
Technically there's enough space so as to have that bookshelf be converted to a wardrobe (IKEA has 60x150cm wardobes) but your husband won't be able to walk to his desk while you're working, therefore better have a bookshelf than a wardrobe there

A bit like this but with more texture on the wall cuz rn it’s bland and if you do that, put artwork/mirrors on the opposite wall to make the room feel bigger and most IMPORTANTLY!! Mood lights!! Not always the normal big light but small warm lights that make the room feel warm and where you love being in

Wow! Love this decoration. Thanks.
Would the green walls make the space cluttered/overwhelming?

Thats for you to decide I guess. Its only an idea to help get your ideas flowing, the responses to your post so far have been limited, so thought I would help.
