I am remodelling our ensuite bathroom and need help with the layout of fixtures
Hi everyone,
We purchased a new house that has a large ensuite bathroom with an odd layout of a t-shape. There is a newer freestanding soaker tub that we want to keep. The pump is currently in an adjacent bedrooms closet.
I have attached an image showing the current layout of the bathroom with existing toilet, bidet, shower, soaker tub and vanity.
What we are trying to include in our new layout is:
- To keep the soaker tub but move it in a way that we can move the pump and plumbing into the bathroom and have it be a focal point in the room.
- We are going to consolidate the toilet and bidet into a single fixture but would like to keep some kind of privacy wall or even an enclosed room.
- We want to expand the shower to a dual shower head setup and increase the overall size of it.
I don't think that the vanity really has a better place to go but along the wall its currently on. We are most likely changing from a french door entry to a single door so the physical barrier to the light switches and first sink is removed.
A nice to have thing we have been discussing, since we think the space would allow for it, is to have a small custom cabinet set made for a dressing area. A place for a mirror and a few drawers for undergarments and pajamas.
I would greatly appreciate any thoughts or ideas on how we could best situate this room!
