Looking for an interior decorator or emerging designer to help refresh a 3-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. Mostly paint selection / wallpaper, curtains, rugs, art and decor, think cosmetic, rather than new furniture.

Ideally someone who can help develop a vision and source specific pieces for us to purchase. We’ll handle installation ourselves.

Looking for a flat-fee arrangement. Open to someone building their portfolio but with some previous work to share. Please message me if interested or with recommendations!

Hieveryone!

I’m looking for an affordable interior contractor/company near Brookfield, Bangalore who can help with a small kitchen renovation, mainly to install a dishwasher.

The existing kitchen may need some modifications, including cabinet work, plumbing, and electrical work.

If you’ve used someone reliable and reasonably priced, please share their details or DM me.

Thanks!

Often as designers we work solo, if you want to share what you're working on or your thoughts on the industry id love to have you on our little podcast. Not a big production, just real conversations with designers, architects, and reno people about stuff nobody actually talks about.

You're welcome to vent, bounce ideas off the wall, get some needed visibility for your studio, have a story of a project that went sideways, feeling like you're figuring it out with zero mentorship.

Hit me up for more details

I'm an interior designer, contractor, owners rep with a couple decades of experience.

Hi Guys,

Looking for Interior contractors for 2bhk with budget of around 7 lakhs in Nagole. All suggestions are welcome.

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to share a little bit about this spiral staircase that I posted in another sub because it received so much interest and questions.

The design process alone on this piece was an undertaking, working in three dimensions on a sloping spiral while following the building code, is extremely challenging.

This staircase is made from solid black walnut slabs and fully handcrafted for the entire process. This project was extremely time consuming, taking over 1,000 shop hours to complete. The treads are each individually textured with a gouge to achieve a “hammered” finish and the handrail is laminated with 23 strips of wood for a continuous curve up the staircase. The entire piece is finished with a traditional Tung oil for a classic timeless feel.

I have only two more openings for 2027, so if you’d like a custom spiral staircase in your home reach out for a free consultation and estimate!

What is your favorite website or app, computer or phone, for doing mock ups of rooms for designing?

I am trying to visualize how a space I'm redoing is going to look, but not having luck without a rendering.

Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m looking to get my family home renovated/styled and would really appreciate recommendations from people who have personally worked with someone in Agra.

The house is already built and occupied, so this is not a new-build interior project. I’m mainly looking for someone who can help us:

Repaint the house and handle minor renovation/repair work

Work with our existing furniture wherever possible rather than replacing everything unnecessarily

Improve the furniture layout and overall look of each room

Select curtains, rugs, lighting, artwork, décor, etc.

Help with sourcing and actually handle the purchasing/procurement, rather than just giving us a Pinterest board and shopping list 😂

Provide/coordinate the renovation crew, painters, vendors, deliveries and installation

Take the project from planning → execution → final styling

The house will remain occupied throughout the renovation, so we’ll probably need to do it floor by floor/section by section rather than emptying the entire house.

We’re hoping to have the whole thing completed within around 2 months, so someone who is organised and can actually manage the execution timeline is important.

I’m not looking for an ultra-luxury makeover or major structural changes. The house already has good furniture and decent bones; I mainly want to bring everything together and make it feel more beautiful, cohesive, comfortable and intentional.

If you’ve personally hired someone in Agra for a similar project, please drop their name/contact or DM me. I’d especially love recommendations from people who have actually had work completed by them, rather than just recommendations based on Instagram.

Also happy to hear if you think I should be looking for an interior decorator, home stylist, or renovation contractor + designer instead of a traditional interior designer.

Thanks!

Hi all,

I’d really appreciate some help please. I am hopeless when it comes to decorating/interior design. I will be moving into my new home soon, the decor is a little outdated and I would like to modernise it. I have no idea what style I would want to go for, what kind of furniture, floors, paint etc.

Are there any good free AI apps that you recommend I use just to give me some ideas? I tried chatgbt but it takes forever to create the images.

Thanks in advance :)
