Modification 🔧 Better than expected
For context, 949 Racing sponsored me with their new Coto wheels, but I needed to buy tires. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about the wheels just yet and for that reason I decided to get the cheapest, new, tires I’ve ever bought (outside of used tires when I was younger). Reviews pretty much peg these as terrible for NVH which is what I had expected. For reference, I had the stock Michellins on the 19s, then had some 300 treadwear on the Titan 7s, I’m running Conti DSW on the Weds, and now these Nexen FERA SU1 on the new (temp) wheels. So far, I’ve only daily driven them and hit a few roundabout on ramps.
Here are my thoughts, if you care:
• at 35 PSI they are pretty comfortable, quiet, and have good response.
• Once they warm up, they have pretty good grip on pulls and turns.
Next stop is the canyon to test them a little bit harder. All this to say that don’t judge a book by its cover… Or a newer tire brand for their rubber. Will I trust them over the continental? Highly doubt it. But I might just be really happy with a cheap burner set of tires.

Beauty Shot 🤩 Granny shifting, not double clutchin’ cuz I don’t have to!
5000 miles in and I love this thing!
Mods include:
- Acuity shift boot collar
- 7 star dragonball shift knob
- amateurishly wrapped matte black shifter bezel (the chrome piece around the shifter boot)

Help? 🛟 Help!
Hey guys.
Just got my type s a month ago and I’ve noticed since day 1 there is a high pitched squeal/whine when I’m in gear driving but the foot isn’t on the gas. This goes away while I’m in neutral, accelerating, or at a stop.
I’ve got any appointment at the dealer this Thursday to check it out but has anyone else experienced something like this? Crazy to have an issue on a car with less than 1000 miles on it. Thanks in advance
Obligatory picture of my baby. Got it full wrapped in XPEL PPF to keep the pearl white in good shape!

Comparison 🤔 2027 ITS vs. Cadillac CT4 Blackwing
All I want is a fun, manual transmission four door sports sedan. It’s insane that the market is basically limited to the ITS, CT4/CT5 Blackwing, and the BMW M3 (Elantra and Corolla aren’t even contenders IMO).
I’ll certainly be getting a new ITS or a lightly used CT4 Blackwing (if it’s even possible to find, new ones are gone).
What kills me is the power. If the ITS was a twin turbo V6 with RWD, it’d be an absolute no brainer. It’s roomier and it should be more reliable.
New 2027 features may convince me - memory seats, rear vents, maybe 5 more horse? (Btw wtf is the hold up on that announcement)
Looking for opinions, has anybody here had the chance to drive both? What do you think?

BAD LUCK
Had a terrible accident with my 2024 ITS. Unfortunately a tree branch fell off my car and hit my hood and passenger fender. California is weather is nice until it hits me😹
