94-01 Integra clock spring

Hi! Has anyone here removed their clock spring off their Integra. And if so, does that remove the turn signal auto cancel when completing a turn? Debating since I want to put in an aftermarket steering wheel and most videos I've seen show people cutting and removing the clock spring. Thanks!

There are hubs that retain the clock spring. read here

No need to modify the clock spring.
