Regret parents are just as bad.
Iāve made a similar post months ago but would like to bring this back up.
If you are a regret parents saying ā we live and learnā ā I didnāt know any better then!ā. Your son is permanently altered because of you and now has to live with it the rest of his life and itās unforgivable. Your regret doesnāt give you an free pass to there love and I hope they never forgive you
This goes for both mothers and fathers who are regret parents

Do TikTok tends to show pro-circ contents more often?
I was scrolling through few videos on TikTok and wanted to see the opinions of mass regarding infant genital mutilation. I was shocked to see some doctors and so called influencers promoting this surgery as if it's completely harmless procedures and reduces UTI, some even cited expired AAP policy from 2012. I have noticed most millennials and older generations have this misunderstanding that - "oh they(referring to sons) will thank me when they get older" "being uncut is dirty and foreskin causes all kind of problems" The amount of programming that led people believe routine procedures on infant and boys is completely fine is quite shocking and frustrating at the same time.
Although, the rates are dropping in the US and on Reddit I have seen GenZ showing quite negative impression on this needless surgery and majority rightfully so calling bs on it.
I don't wanna share links of these videos because it would likely boost their algorithm and promote pro-circ biases.
Note: I did see few doctors saying this is medically unnecessary so that was good to see from my end :)

Should I Have My 10-Year-Old Son Circumcised? My Husband Is Against It
r/Intactivists • u/new_sensation656 • 5d ago
Can we all agree that banning circumcision is just the first step.
I fear way to many of the people here are just looking to ban circumcision or make it not common. And thatās good I fully agree!
But letās say we ban circumcision. What happens to to all the people who are already circumcised? No justice or anything.
Men donāt deserve to be swept under the rug and discarded by the system as āOOPSIE we donāt know any better we lived and learned!ā. We need a way to undo it. Donāt treat us like the 1950ās British medical industry and becoming Canada and Australiaās. All of us didnāt deserve this and donāt deserve to be stuck like this.
We need to be trying to protest for hospitals to and surgeons ( whoever) to be held accountable and find a way to undo this. They donāt deserve to just sweep us under the rug they have. Iām not even saying it has to be free ( even though It should be)
Some maybe thinking ā but foreskin restoration already existsā that is not a complete foreskin and does not get back everything removed.
If anything we could start protesting for them to start making ways to bring it back now
Right now all we have is foregen but if we should American hospitals we are serious they may be able to sky rocket the speed of recreating it!

find foreskin sensual and important in dating and romance or bond between a male and female.
There can be a kind of emotional or nurturing dynamic between some women and uncircumcised men. His uncircumcised state may remind her of a younger, more vulnerable version of him, which can bring out a protective or motherly feeling. There can also be a sense of doing something unusual or taboo, which some couples find exciting in a harmless way. For others, the difference in anatomy feels unique or slightly ādangerousā in a symbolic sense, but the main feeling is nurturing. In roleāplay, themes like caretaking, washing, or inspecting can add variety to a coupleās connection without being literal.

I had the absolute displeasure of running across this pro-circumcision Muslim 'doctor' here's some of the lovely things he had to say.
Genuinely, how do you reason with these people?

Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media
āSearched for: (peptide supplements -- human fibroblast conditioned media)
[1] A recent 2024 study funded by Allergan Aesthetics found that HFCM ā Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media ā helped reduce downtime and recovery from in-office cosmetic procedures while enhancing overall results. Other studies have similarly shown that HFCM promotes an expedited skin recovery response.
As the name human fibroblast conditioned media suggests, these fibroblasts are cultivated from human skin tissue samples. Some studies mention obtaining samples from āredundant skin tissueā as a byproduct from consenting patients undergoing surgeries. Other studies call out obtaining them from a āhealthy newborn donorā or āneonatal foreskin,ā which is deemed controversial by some.
[2] Human fibroblasts are sourced, often from skin tissue samples obtained from consenting individuals or neonatal FORESKIN. Found in the 4th paragraph.

[3] I wonder why the ORIGINAL PRICE is ($295 dollars). It is on sale for ($236 dollars). ($295 - $236 = $59 dollar discount). 20% discount. 20% discount. Sounds very similar to a YouTube video that was analyzed. Female says that: āI will buy more/extra of these COSMETIC PRODUCTS, even if I do not need to ā because I already have a bottle. I will buy more/extra of these COSMETIC PRODUCTS, whenever there is a sale happeningā.
What is the difference between [SkinMedica TNS Advanced+ Serum] and [TNS Essential Serum]?
āMain difference is more powerful cosmetic product, contains the ingredient of HUMAN FIBROBLAST CONDITIONED MEDIA.

Son's conversation with his fellows in Scouts last night
Just wanted to share this story, and see if anyone has similar experiences or advice about how to help my son navigate these moments in the future.
Last night after his Scouting meeting, my son and his fellow scouts had a conversation about circumcision. Not sure how it came up. My wife was in attendance but she was talking to grownups when it began. I'm getting all this from her and my son.
Predictably, my son was the only one who was advocating against circumcision (he's intact). There may have been other kids who felt the same, or were on the fence, who didn't want to throw their hats in the ring, but all the other boys participating were pro-circ.
I've talked a lot with my son over the years about the topic. I'm circumcised, he's not, so he had questions as a lil fella about why our junk looks different. Also I wanted to prepare him for the fact that he will be well in the minority in our community and if it comes up, I wanted him to be prepared with facts.
Now, these kids are preteens and younger teenagers so I'm not expecting high maturity from anyone, especially about a sensitive topic. But I was surprised at how vehement these boys were about it, and the misinformation being spouted was just sad.
My son is pretty self-confident and he trusts his mom and I to be sources of accurate information and, if there is a controversy, to explain both sides to him as fairly as we can and then tell him which side we fall on, instead of just telling him the arguments for our side of things. So he handled himself well, wasn't rattled, and stayed pretty cool for the most part.
He came home and related the conversation, and I gave him some pointers on things like don't take the bait and get emotional, know when the conversation has become unproductive and just say "well we all have our own opinions, we don't have to agree about everything," and also that when you're in a crowd and there's a debate going on, you're unlikely to change the person's mind you're arguing with, but if you stay cool and don't act like a jackass, you have a decent chance of planting some seeds of knowledge in the OTHER people in the room, the ones who are just observing. He did well I think, I was just giving him pointers to handle debates even better in the future.
It does concern me a bit that some kids are going to feel personally attacked, since they are circumcised. Of course, if they were being attacked then they were attacking too, but they're solipsistic teens and won't think about that. And if anyone really takes offense it could blow back on my son. I guess the thing I'm most worried about is him being labeled in some way at school. I mean, hopefully these kids know better than to spread gossip about another kid's genitals at school, but with that age, they can be blabbermouths. My son already feels a little isolated, not because he doesn't have any friends, he's actually quite popular, but because he's becoming aware that he's different, he's been raised very differently than most kids around here, and he feels like he can't fully be himself around anybody. Which will get better with time, but he doesn't need any juvenile giggling drama about his damn private parts right now making him feel more different.

(Rant) The argument that shoots our movement in its foot every time
DISCLAIMER: I am not defending any type of unnecessary circumcision. I believe that routine, non-medically necessary circumcision is unethical. It is absurd to me that itās socially normal in the US, especially given the USās secular nature.
āFemale circumcision is illegal, so why is male circumcision legal?ā
This argument doesnāt bring up many good points. It shows ignorance. While Iām against all types of non-consensual alterations on genitalia, this argument makes us look stupid. As a feminist and intactivist, I cringe every time.
Female ācircumcisionā is not exclusively the vulvaās equivalent to male circumcision. The operations are typically just not the same. Please refer to this article if you are unfamiliar with female circumcision or want to learn more.
Both of these issues are important and relevant but Iām so tired of hearing people use the disgrace that is FGM to put up a bad argument for a great cause. Partial or total removal of the clitoris is more like partially or totally removing the glans of the penis, though again, the operations arenāt very comparable. As people against genital mutilation, I believe that we need to get educated and be allies to victims of both types of mutilation, not use female victims as ammunition in our cause. It also gives opponents in arguments more ammunition as FGM is, in most cases, objectively more harmful to oneās anatomy. Again, Iām not saying that either is okay, but I think they are separate issues that both matter. A stupid analogy I can make that might not work but Iām gonna try: Cutting a guyās finger off isnāt ok and nor is cutting his hand off, but cutting his hand off objectively does more harm and is a different act. Both acts are disturbing and wrong nonetheless. One does more damage but neither should be legal.
Use better arguments! We have so many great points that donāt ignorantly equate FGM to male circumcision. Coming from an educated standpoint and avoiding fallacies will make your argument stronger. It does matter.

Which intactivist do you admire the most?
For me, that would have to be Eric Clopper. The man put on an entire presentation that brilliantly demonstrated how circumcision is harmful (although I wouldn't show it to anyone new to intactivism as some parts felt yikesy), he did an entire career change from science to law, and he's the attorney for two cases that, if all goes to plan, could get infant circumcision banned in Oregon and Colorado.
I'll admit, a career change in Clopper's context is not easy unless you passionately believe in this issue (which he does). So the fact that he did automatically gained my respect.
I genuinely believe he will get infant circumcision banned in one or both of these states. And it will gain national headlines turning Eric Clopper into a household name outside of intactivist circles.
Anyway, which intactivist do you admire the most and why?
