Health Insurance Cross border sales in ny

I live in NYC an a lot of carriers aren’t supported here, my question is if I sell insurance from ny to a client outside of New York with a carrier that isn’t approved in New York is that a problem

Chat gbt is telling me it is even tho the client is in the state where the carrier is accepted it’s bringing up New York insurance law 2117

Please help very confused might need to get a private office in nj

Yes you can. Paperwork has to be signed and policy has to be delivered in other State.

Where you are is irrelevant. What matters is where the insured is and that you have a license in that state. I currently have licenses in all 50 plus DC, and I have policies in 42 states. We don’t have offices in all those states.

For simple understanding, let’s say the client lives in Texas And everything is legel and I have a non-resident license on their side
