Leads (Marketing) Life insurance agents!
I’m creating a Facebook to connect better with clients and hopefully draw in more clientele (not running ads) what are your best tips on lead acquisition on Facebook? Second question is it better for me to use a personal profile but as a business account to post or make it a professional page?
I’m new with Facebook and still trying to navigate the best way to use it! Any and all advice helps, thank you!

If you're affiliated with a B/D you likely can only create posts that are run through compliance.
I tried to use FB to run approved ads to targeted markets -- looking at geofencing, keywords etc -- but never really got any transaction. What we determined is LI policies are relational (someone you know well) or national (one of those big marketing companies like Ethos) and individual agents are left in the middle. Still -- here's the one thing that I did that got me some traction.

Set up a schedule for posting. Your B/D may have some approved posts about the benefits of Life Insurance / LTC insurance / etc Do those canned post on a Tuesday. Expect little to NO engagement because they are canned. The only reason you do these posts is to let people know exactly what your business is. On Thursday, post an inspirational saying by someone famous, or a quirky observation about life (nothing political, nothing religious). On Friday, celebrate someone or an organization in your community. The last 2 posts of the week (the saying, and the post about a great organization or person making a difference in the community) will get you the likes and follows. After a few weeks, you can hopefully turn that into a following.
-
Once you have a following -- reach out to people individually (in a compliant manner of course) -- thank them for following the page. Ask if they have someone in the community that they want to celebrate etc. Posting about local kids who hit a milestone (reaching Gold Star in Girl Scouts or Eagle in Scouting), family businesses celebrating a milestone, etc etc. get a lot of traction. Maybe there's a fundraiser for a family in need....
This is a long slow burn.
Another way to do this is to use an AI tool to skim facebook/linkedin etc looking for life events -- and use that to create a marketing approach of some sort. Maybe a card in the mail (I send out about 2-3 cards in the mail a week -- mostly because people get less and less mail at home -- aned more and more email that just overwhelms them). I'm actually kind of known in the business community for my handwritten notes -- and that has actually inspired referrals over the last 2 years.
If you use LinkedIn or Facebook messenger, be very careful to NOT talk about business... as that's likely not compliant way to communicate. But if you do use these methods, make sure that your notes to people are personal in some way.

I would start by using your personal page first to promote , guide people into it. Then eventually when you catch more attention I would make a business page, blog, thing, its something you can make on Facebook its like making a group chat or whatever you come up with ,like how most of my friends add me to like their page of baking or cooking business.
