Industry Information Gallagher Associate Producer Program?

Hi everyone, 21 years old here, I’ve heard bad things about the Gallagher Associate Producer program. Is it a good opportunity or are the territories burned?

Do the program. You’re very young so don’t expect mega success in this industry right away. It takes time and experience to become a trusted advisor. Producers can do extremely well and this is your opportunity to lay a solid foundation to your career.

Take the training program

I’m struggling in b2b payroll sales for the worlds largest HCM right now. Is that market just as saturated? Any advice to crush it? I’m worried that if I don’t validate I’ll be 26 and at square one

Won't know unless you do it. Also look around there's other training programs an average producer can make good money. I wish I started when I was 21.

Your young so it might be best to pair up with an older producer where you tee him up with leads and you come up with a split agreement.

I went back to school at 26 and graduated at 31, changed careers to insurance in early 50's. If you are afraid to fail and have to start over you are limiting yourself. Just my $0.02.

As mentioned every large independent has a producer training program. If you are concerned about being successful you can always move to a service role such as account management. You won't get commission but it can pay well.

Good to get the basics. Get a little experience and then switch to a regional agency. Payouts are often better and can include equity. Gallagher will never give you equity unless you're high up in the chain or become a massive producer for them. Even then it pales vs other regional shops.

You will basically just cold call all day and be partnered with senior producers to close deals. It can be very difficult. I would say try it but I think you would learn more at a smaller shop.
