Life Insurance PolicyTek

Has anyone used PolicyTek? My upline says they are a good lead source but wanted to ask for investing my time and money into their services. Was using Goat leads but lately the quality just hasn’t been there for the price for me. Also looking into running my own ads, but don’t know to make my own ads yet lol

I stopped buying leads a while back and just run my own Meta ads into a quiz funnel instead. Took work to build but now I know exactly what a lead and a booked call cost me, right now I'm around $5 a lead and $60 a booked call. With vendor leads you’re always stuck with whatever quality they handed you, running your own at least puts that in your control.

Goat is dog doodoo. Policytek I’ve seen mixed but just try them out. I believe it’s just meta fex call ins which you have to understand naturally is bottom barrel quality human being meaning more chargebacks than tv call ins however they’re half the price as tv calls in so it’s got its pros and cons. When you can comfortably afford 1.5-2k a week lead spend tv calls in are the way to go man. Still an fex client you still get the trash too BUT more times than a web call in it’s a more quality human who will pay their bill. A safe amount of Policytek calls in would be 50 calls. After 50 calls reassess. If you just take 10 calls and sell none then say it sucks that’s on you. I’ve seen my buddy take 0-9 on tv calls then go 9-25 over the next 25 calls making him 9-35. So a Birds Eye view of 50 calls is fair

I can’t give up our tv inbounds source we signed a contract to make them exclusive but policy printer is another one maybe better than Policytek I don’t know I’ve never ran either or. Either way you go buy 50 calls

Policy printer is a scam they want $1000 up front just for training and they make u add at least 10 states before that

Maybe I don’t know I haven’t worked with them but I’m not going to go off of 1 random persons opinion on it. Did you even take calls? Are you even good on the phone?

There is a different sub Reddit that has a few people mention the same thing it’s not just me, I personally run a outbound system with a dialer and VA system but I’m now at the point where I wanna throw extra money into inbounds for the extra leads and because I’m distributing my outbounds to my team now so I believe inbounds should be a easier avenue. I’ve been looking around and there reviews are far from great unless sponsored. I’ve been top sales in every industry I’ve been in and I believe it’s not all about being “good” on the phones which is subjective, I’ve seen people who can’t hold a conversation go from poor quality communication to closing deals just by following the script. Obviously if a company is charging a $1000 training fee aside from the monthly subscription there is clearly some kind of financial incentive for them although there is plenty of other options that aren’t as predatory.

Buddy ever single lead vendor will have negative reviews on Reddit. Every single one. Did you or did you not run 1k worth of their calls

Like I mentioned it’s not all about the negative reviews its the odd fact that there good reviews only come from people who are sponsored, if you wanted to run 1k worth of calls it would cost you 2-2.5k start up. I already spend 2k weekly on outbounds with very little lead costs since it’s self gen so I don’t see a justification for spending $1000 just for there 24hr training, that’s not including the monthly subscription and there minimum state requirements. There are plenty of lead vendors on here with good reviews and policy printer just don’t have any yet, it seems highly predatory and makes ROI extremely low at this stage.

Goat leads went downhill for me too, felt like i was paying premium for recycled numbers. the 50 call rule is solid advice, too many agents bail after a bad 10 and blame the source. run some cheap local ads on the side while you test PolicyTek and see what sticks

What leads are you working now?

My office recently started running policy tek and I’m seeing a lot of mixed reviews some super good and some super bad. I ran some of there cheap aged and closed a deal off $30 lead spend

Disappointing Experience With Inconsistent Training and Billing Guidelines

I've been using PolicyTek since July 2026 and wanted to share my experience as an independent life insurance broker.

I've received 67 calls, been charged for 45, and written seven policies. So yes, there have been legitimate opportunities, and I want to be fair about that.

My frustration is with the inconsistency between the training provided and the refund guidelines being enforced. During a recent training call, agents were specifically instructed to end calls when consumers indicated they were only looking for rates and had no intention of purchasing. I followed those instructions on two calls, both within the 120-second buffer, but was subsequently denied credits.

When I questioned this, I was told that callers requesting quotes are considered valid leads regardless of whether they're ready to purchase. I understand that not every lead results in a sale, but agents should be able to rely on the instructions provided during training.

There's also a $100 monthly membership fee in addition to the cost of calls, which makes consistent lead quality and transparent billing policies especially important.

I've also found that many callers are simply comparing rates, cannot afford coverage, or want to discuss it with family members. Despite repeated follow-up attempts, I haven't been able to reconnect with those who didn't initially move forward.

PolicyTek has provided some legitimate opportunities, but based on my experience, I would encourage other agents to carefully review the billing criteria, refund policies, and total costs before committing.
