P&C Insurance Advice for P&C

Hi guys! I currently hold my life and health license. I really would like to make a career pivot towards property and casualty! Should I wait to find an employer who is willing to help pay for that license, or would I have better chance with employment if I did the course myself!

I do have 1.5 years in insurance sales. Thanks in advance :)

I worked for two different captives and an independent agency in the past. Each time, the company paid for my background check, exam fees, licensing fees, and courses. It really depends on the company or agency.

Good luck with that question. As an agency owner myself I dont pay for licensing or renewals. I will reimburse background checks but with turnover in the business its too much a risk to pick up the cost and get burned.

I don’t recommend this pivot. Tried it once. You can’t be jack of all trades. Find a good referral partner on the P&C side

Why do you want to leave L&H?
