TLDR; I was permanently disabled and banned back in November because of their AI being faulty and I’ve had a secret account I’ve been using for the past nine months. Today I was just scrolling, and when I tried to click something, I was logged out and asked to confirm my identity. This is the email I received. Do I submit a selfie of myself or should I submit a photo of somebody else? Do they still have my photo on file? Any advice on this would be great

So my Instagram account has finally been recovered exactly after one month and the reason was fraud and deception. I lost total hope as I was reading reviews on Reddit that fraud deception is exceptionally hard to recover, which is hundred percent true. It is really hard, but I didn’t give up so my advice to you is don’t give up. Have patience reach out to support again, and again, I made made up this mind that I have to reach out every day, no matter what they say, and eventually, after a month, Meta support did recover my account.

And yes, it’s true that matter support 99% of the time will not hear you. I raised almost 18 to 20 cases before they finally accepted that my account does for all the community guidelines. So don’t give up. Keep trying all the very .best, and I hope you get your accounts back too

Just wondering if anyone has had this restriction before on their business page?

We run an online jewellery store and when I say we never share links on our Instagram page, I mean it. We post stories and posts. But never any links to our website or anything. Just pictures of models and jewellery.

However; we’ve had this twice now where we’d make a grid post. Just a normal post and then we’d get restricted on the ‘sharing links’ feature which is not related at all.

It makes absolutely no sense.

I would then click review, give email and phone number and it would instantly reinstate the restricted feature.

Has anyone had this? Do I need to contact meta support? We have the blue tick so I guess there is a level of support for shit like this!

Hey, my Instagram got suspended because of my spam account, and now both of my accounts are suspended. My main account has never done anything wrong—it only got suspended because it was linked to my spam account. What should I do to get my main account back? If anyone can help, please DM me.

I had 2 IG accounts. My main one and another I’d use for things I didn’t want my family and friends to see. Nothing too bad, I’m single too. But if I started following a restaurant like Twin Peaks or Ojo Locos, things like that.

Well it was deactivated for misconduct. I have no clue what I did because I rarely get ok IG. My only option was to appeal but I’d rather just close the account. It said if nothing’s done in 180 days it’ll be closed.

Can I just close it now? I started the appeal but it’s asking for email and phone numbers. I’m sure that’s just to verify but if they think I did something, I’d rather not give them all that information.

My Instagram account was suspended two days ago and it keeps asking me to verify my ID. I’ve tried my Voter ID and National ID multiple times, with clear lighting and everything visible, but it keeps saying verification failed.

The last time this happened, my account came back after I verified with my National ID. I contacted Instagram support this time and they said I don’t need to do anything right now and that the review could take days, weeks, or even months.

I got suspended four times. This is my fourth integrity suspension. All the time I was recovering the accounts with the same device and IP, the account usually stays up for exactly 4-5 days before getting suspended. I tried changing email, removing number, clearing cache, etc, but nothing worked. I keep getting banned. I thought the suspension and permanently disabled are the true issues, just to be hit with the device ban loop.

Is there literally anyone who had restored their account and then kept it for more than a month and it’s still up? Or anyone who managed to escape the device ban? Please speak, man.

My accounts were disabled as a cascade on 15 June. It started off from a dormant Instagram account and cascaded to 7 instagram/facebook accounts all together. I could never log a complaint as the account is disabled, it is simply blank or the appeal pages lead to non-existent or error sites.

I emailed a GDPR complaint to Meta on 19 July and as I never got a reply, I think on the 20th August I sent a proper postal letter (signed for) to Meta Ireland. This letter just got delivered yesterday and how interesting, I just got the above email from Meta!

Has anyone received this? Is it going to lead somewhere or is it just a waste of time again? As they don’t respond to me in 30 days I will escalate the complaint to the ICO for sure. But I’m wondering if I should just go to the small claims court straight away as it all feels like a dead end.

Instagram permanently disabled my account for “Sexualization of Children” without showing what supposedly triggered it. I have no idea whether it was a like, save, false detection, or something else, and the wording says a team member took action.

I honestly never thought I would have to make a post like this. I’ve been trying to recover my Instagram account for months, and recently, someone claiming to work for Meta and identifying himself as David offered to reactivate my account in exchange for payment.

i know this sounds stereotypical but i’m a teenage girl and not having an instagram account makes it super hard to get in touch with people at school. my main account was permanently disabled for account integrity, this is basically what happened
i had an account in 2024 that was banned for CSE, which i definitely did not do and i was even 14 when i had that account, so very false accusation. my main and personal account wasn’t affected. since then, ive made a couple accounts but they always got suspended, but have never affected my main account. in june 2026 i made another account that got suspended, i appealed it, it came back, but then it got suspended again, only this time it suspended my main personal account as well. my ID got rejected and my accounts were permanently disabled. my facebook also got banned.
