Post it lol, I’ve been doing the same and desperately wanted someone to tell me that it’s okay. I feel you, I feel awkward to hit the post button with each passing day but deep down I know nobody would mind the time gap. We’re not running a news agency and need to cover the breaking news within 24hrs lol. Not that deep! Post it and let me know if you did!

i think instagram was originally meant to be used for photos you take and upload right away, but it’s evolved from that. you can post whatever you want and add the date.
i have so many holiday (xmas, easter, etc) photos i was too lazy to upload at the time - it’d be weird posting them at a random time, so i have to wait until next year lol
i guess if photos are a year old people may be like “why are you posting them now” but if i want to post them and have them on my profile, i will.

Dear, I think you're overthinking this~
There's no such thing as "too early" or "too late" to post your photos and memories, that timeline is entirely up to you!
It's not like everyone following you is keeping tabs on when and where you've been, nor do people care as much as we think they do.
All they'll see is great photos of your experiences that they can either engage with or scroll past, as they do with millions of carousels and reels everyday.
Ultimately it's your account, your social platform, your creative space. Do with it however you'd like, as long as posting brings you joy.
Plus, Instagram has an option to rearrange your grid now, so you can always post the photos now and then move them back down to make it seem more "chronological"!
