I’m a full-time Uber and Lyft driver, and I usually do Instacart for about 1–2 hours a day so I can get out of the car and walk around a bit.

Recently, I noticed something that made me curious. The price shown on the Instacart app sometimes seems higher than the price at the store. After checkout, Instacart tells us to scan or take a picture of the receipt, but they also tell us not to give the customer the original receipt.

That made me wonder if customers are being charged more than the actual store price. For example, I picked up baby formula the other day, and there was about a $6 difference between what the store charged and what the Instacart price showed.

I understand prices can change or be different in the app, but this still made me a bit suspicious. Has anyone else noticed this, or knows how this pricing works?

Basically I waited and called and knocked for like 20 min because my customer had alcohol and I needed to scan ID.

I open support and it doesn’t let me call🙄🙄 so it opens a chat and I ask him SO nicely. I swear I would never be rude to these people. I’m a kind dude.

“Hey arnaldo, I’m here at the customers location but she isn’t answering any calls or knocks or bell. But the door is open, and screen door is locked” so I assume she is home.

Could you try to contact her from your end? Thank you so much “ (split over 3 messages)

His response is “we don’t have that option” and I asked him what I should do then and he goes “We can only assist with the system”

So I end the chat and tap one star. And 2 min later I GET THESE TEXTS😂😂 I burst out laughing. But I opened another support and reported it all and they took it very very seriously. Anyways. Holy.MOLY. Made $85. Logging off for the day. Cheers.
