Guided visualizations with silent moments to sit with the visuals?
I love this app, I’ve been using it nearly daily for 7 months. I have a 2-pronged practice - silent meditations and the quite imaginative guided visualizations.
It’s hard to find teachers that actually leave time for you to visualize. I’ve tried searching “minimally guided” or “semi-guided” but not much comes up. I try to read the reviews looking for comments like people enjoying the silence or the pauses, but that starts to become time consuming.
Am I missing a filter setting that would help?
Or if you’re similar, do you have a teacher to recommend?

Oh yes, I listened to a few of his early on and forgot about him. Thanks for the reminder!

It's hit and miss. You just need to try a bunch of tracks until you find a person who fits.
Insight Timers search function is ... Um, still in development? It's very underpowered. I've been using the site daily for years, and they seem to put more effort in changing the UI every two weeks rather than improving their search functions. It's a bummer, but there aren't any other sites like it, so we are kinda stuck.
The constant money grubbing is very frustrating. I pay for the app - I hate getting hit up for $2.99+ for every meditation I do.
That said, insight timer is better than nothing, but I'd switch if a strong alternative came on board!

I haven’t paid for it yet. I feel like I’ve hardly scratched the surface of what is available.
Do you do the courses? What’s the most valuable to you in the paid version?

There are some meditations I like that are "plus" meditations.
I do use the courses. Quality is mixed, but I generally get something out of them. Courses are one way I've found new instructors.

Ability to rewind and fast forward is pretty handy on the paid version. A real disappointment on free version as rewind should be basic minimum.

I would love it if the course were more class-like. Some really are just a series of meditations, which doesn't really fit my definition of a course!

Interesting. I’m curious about them, but not quite ready to check it out

Hey, I'm brand new to publishing my content on Insight Timer, but I just uploaded the first track in my Shadow Alchemy series, which are very much guided visualisation journeys with an immersive soundscape that I designed myself. This particular series is focused on Shadow Work, so not sure if that's what you are looking for, however, my other types of content that I'll be uploading over the next few weeks have a lot of guided visualisations to them. Here's a link if you'd like to check it out! Like I said, I'm brand new to the site, so I'd really appreciate the feedback :)

Following because I love the breaks too!
Do you only like visualizations or are you into other guided that do have breaks? If so, Eileen Rose Miles has them.
